MOUNTAIN GORILLAS

About Rwanda Gorillas

Rwanda is home to the endangered mountain gorillas, which are one of the most iconic and fascinating species on the planet. The mountain gorillas are found in the Virunga Massif, a chain of extinct volcanoes bordering Rwanda, Uganda, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Rwanda's commitment to gorilla conservation is remarkable. The country has dedicated significant efforts to protect these magnificent creatures and their habitat. One of the key initiatives is the establishment of Volcanoes National Park, where tourists can trek to observe and interact with mountain gorillas in their natural habitat.
